Rick Turoczy, the godfather of Portland Startups. For many who live in Portland, Rick is a mentor, advisor, dot connector, community leader, educator, cheerleader, and friend. He does this work tirelessly, rarely asking for anything in return, which results in him being grossly overworked and underpaid. This project is meant to support him and the PIE community he’s built.
Below are various merchandise options for the Thank You Rick online store. In addition, to the Rick designs I created an alternate PIE logo idea for future PIE events.
The Rick Shirt
When brainstorming design concepts, I really wanted to focus on making a design that could not only be memorable but could also act as shareable content that people could see, connect with and ultimately share on social media. With that in mind, the Rick Shirt was born.
The PIE Orange
An alternate option to The Rick Shirt, more Ricks and more orange, PIE’s signature color.
Coffee with Rick
As the best seller, “Coffee with Rick” not only worked for individual orders but various business leaders and founders ordered multiple to include in their office. Ultimately, spreading the initiative and influence further into the Portland startup community.
